Myself and Ian from the rock band Fuser, have just returned home after spending a week in Brisbane at this years BIG SOUND 07 Music Industry Summit and Showcase Series, and Fuser have already hailed the trip as a huge success for the band.
In total, more than 450 participants attended three days of seminars, panels and networking events, while more than 40 showcase acts hit the stages in Fortitude Valley Venues, impressing summit delegates from around the world.
The band and management have a heap of opportunities to follow up after meeting with amongst others, industry icon Michael Chugg and influential radio tastemaker Nic Harcourt whose show “Morning Becomes Eclectic” runs daily on US radio station KCRW. Fuser are now looking at opportunities ranging from touring and releasing in the US, Germany, Asia and India as well as Australia.
Next on the cards for Paul and Ian is a trip to Sydney in April to attend the S3 Song summit Australia. |
